Bringing an Eco-Buddy like Your Water Container is an Eco-Lifestyle. You don't have to buy mineral water all the time. Break that buy and throw attitude.

This is one of my several eco-buddies. It is made of unbreakable plastic. This is  much better than buying mineral water all the time. Less cash, less trash. I cannot bring stainless one because it attracts thieves.

Straws, like plastic bags, are small but have terrible destructive impact on the environment. Straws are a product of commercialism. Let's rule over them.

It was a lunch date with my family. The table next to us was another family. How many straws were there on their table? Imagine if all of us there in that restaurant had not used straws that day, every living creature would have thanked us except other humans. We have done it anyway.

It's Holy Week. Most people celebrate in vacation with so much disposable trash in resorts and beaches.

This is what I understand about Holy Week in the Philippines.  It's all about His love, not about the sacrifices of others trying to do what He did.

The less stuff we use, the less impact on the environment - that's why I keep my hair short.

I made my hair even shorter not only for summer but to reduce my carbon footprint.

Less hair, less shampoo, less water and maintenance - less impact on the environment.

Demand for boxes when buying groceries to reduce the use of plastic bag. Check the dump sites and you will see the plastic bags filled with them.

Years before this no-plastic bag policy in some malls and markets, I have been doing that myself even without a law compelling me to do so.
I am at  the cashier's area for payment. You can see a small brown purse hung on top part of the cart. That's my reusable bag. Other items which are to much for a box are brought home in it.

The bagger puts the items in the boxes. They don't do it neither suggests it unless I tell them so. Using plastic bags is easy for them than putting the items in plastic bags.

Ready to go. You can see my brown bag under the boxes. I sometimes encounter climate-ignorant baggers, cashiers and customers. I cannot shut my big mouth to lecture them about climate change. It's normal for climate leaders.

With my fellow teachers, we campaigned for Earth Hour after work.

Since the nearby barangays were being campaigned about the Earth Hour by the MK Society and the Grade 10 Serenity and Sensibility of our school, we decided to do our campaign at Mawaque Resettlement. We found out that a lot of people do not know about Earth Hour. Some were skeptical and asked us, "Why did it take you this time of the night?". We answered, "We're teachers. We came from work."

We campaigned for Earth Hour in our nearby barangays and communities. We reused paper, continuous ink and drat printing.

I am now a Climate Reality Leader. One way of loving others is taking care of this planet called Earth.

Using disposable cotton balls do more harm on the environment than reusable face towels.

I got these face towels when I was hospitalized. They were a part of my hospital kit. I use them now to cleanse my face from make up and dirt. We should get rid of disposables. Yes we use water and soap to wash our face but with cotton balls, we use cleansers which leave more non-biodegradable trash.

Keep reusing stuff. The less we throw things, the less impact on the environment.

I got this set of shampoo, conditioner, lotion and body wash from a hotel two months ago. I brought them home because they are disposables for that hotel. Now I brought them to another hotel where this set is not available because it's a capsule type. I plant to bring them home for future use instead of buying sachets.  They are inside a plastic bag which contained the shirt I bought from a mall. I don't throw plastic bags as much as possible. I keep reusing them.

Our luxurious and easy life today will make the lives of the future generations the other way around.

This is my toilet in our bedroom. We don't use push-button toilet bowls in all our four toilets in the house. These bowls are not only expensive; they need repair every now and then; they occupy a lot of space which is another cost; and their maintenance entails a lot of trash and cash.  The bigger and more high-tech the stuff, the bigger its impact on the environment.

All things made of paper do not have to be thrown away. They can be used again. It's another way of saving trees.

I reuse sack of rice to catch all types of used things made of paper.  This is in my house.  I also have one like this in the school where I stay most of the time. As much as I can, I do not throw things made of paper. I looked for people who need them like one of my neighbors. She uses them to ignite fire for cooking.  If there is none of this need, I donate or sell them to people in recycling business.

All the things that enhance our beauty are good unless they are not necessary. One of which is nail polish.

Too much vanity harms the environment. I tried to reduce it by minimizing my visit in beauty salons.  I even stopped having my nails polished.
