Demand for boxes when buying groceries to reduce the use of plastic bag. Check the dump sites and you will see the plastic bags filled with them.

Years before this no-plastic bag policy in some malls and markets, I have been doing that myself even without a law compelling me to do so.
I am at  the cashier's area for payment. You can see a small brown purse hung on top part of the cart. That's my reusable bag. Other items which are to much for a box are brought home in it.

The bagger puts the items in the boxes. They don't do it neither suggests it unless I tell them so. Using plastic bags is easy for them than putting the items in plastic bags.

Ready to go. You can see my brown bag under the boxes. I sometimes encounter climate-ignorant baggers, cashiers and customers. I cannot shut my big mouth to lecture them about climate change. It's normal for climate leaders.
